I love to retouch. I DO! Some people think you destroy the picture. You can overdo it but you can also improve the photos. Sometimes I overdo it cause it's fun. I do like natural photos as well. I think I am an all eater when it comes to the retouching thing. From natural to much. But not to to much. Like when everything is like a plain paper and you can really see those edges with bad retouching and the skin tone is BAD. I have a long way to become a good retoucher. But at least I can see what is good and not. I work on my retouching skills. 
One of the good things with retouching is when you have that shitty day and you have a photo of yourself and you can make your self look fab even if it is your shitty day. Then you can shine on a shitty day. And what do we think about that? Yes WE LIKE THAT.  
Probably many people dislike retouching. It makes people look fake, unnatural and so on. Yeah maybe... if you make it that way. Some like it fake and some like it natural. And that we have to accept. For the retoucher it's fun to make fun stuff with a photo. With color, texture and bring the best from the photo you work with.
